Utah is a 7.5 year old Long Haired Liver German Shepherd female.

This shot clearly shows the effect of both the Liver and Long hair recessive genes. Long haired GSD's are often confused by the general public as Collie\GSD mixes.

A close facial shot is excellent for seeing the effects of the liver gene. Notice her eye rims and lips are liver colored as well. The liver gene is not a dilution gene as the blue gene is. The liver gene actually blocks any black pigment from forming at all.
